The Drunk Shakespeare Society is performing Drunk Romeo & Juliet for the first time ever!

One professional actor has five shots of whiskey and then attempts to perform a major role in Shakespeares greatest love story: Romeo & Juliet. Hilarity and mayhem ensue while the remaining sober actors try to keep the script on track. Every show is different depending on who is drinkingand what theyre drinking!

Audience members can purchase craft cocktails and snacks during the show, enhancing the immersive experience. Whether choosing to join in or watch the antics of historys most famous story unfold, attendees are promised an unforgettable night of entertainment.

Houston Junior Forum Hosts Fifth Annual The City Market

Prepare for a shopping spree like no other at the fifth annual The City Market (TCM), taking place on Thursday, April 9, and Friday, April 10, at the iconic Silver Street Studios. With more than 75 handpicked vendors showcasing their one-of-a-kind creations, get ready to indulge in guilt-free retail therapy.

Among the diverse array of vendors featured at TCM, attendees can expect to find favorites such as Elizabeth Cole Design, The Hidden Trunk, Be Sweet Ink, and Bizzy Lizzy Boutique. Make sure to mark your calendar for the exclusive events throughout the weekend!

All proceeds from this event will support the Houston Junior Forum's College Scholarship Program, Community Grants Program, and their newest initiative, Daily Essentials Everyday Confidence.

GFI Academy will host its first annual gala on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Georgia James in Houston. The evening will bring together community leaders, supporters, and families to celebrate the academys mission while raising support for youth soccer development and scholarship opportunities.

The event will begin with a cocktail reception, silent auction, and tequila pull featuring unique experiences, exclusive items, and opportunities to support GFI Academys programs. Guests will then enjoy a seated three-course dinner accompanied by remarks from academy leadership and keynote speaker Chris Canetti, President of the FIFA World Cup 26 Houston Host Committee, who will share insights on the growing excitement surrounding soccer in Houston as the city prepares to host matches for the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Proceeds from the evening will support GFI Academys continued efforts to expand access to competitive soccer programming, mentorship, and educational opportunities for young athletes across the Houston community.
